Utility Boxes, Lougheed Highway

Two boxes on the highway. Bear cub, drum, hawk, moccasins, work meant to stop a driver in the rain.

The outcome takes shape in many forms. What she wants from the roadside is peace and harmony: coming together, taking blockades down, building bridges of education, life skills, talent, and respect for Native history.

She lets the work speak in public. The world moves too fast. She wants the boxes to stop people in their tracks, to study, to read the reflections, to see. That, she says, is her true nature as an artist.
