The sculpture sat in the open at Function Junction, Whistler Athletes Village, public during the events and after. She was one of four host-nation artists asked to share traditional territories and cultural experience with athletes and guests from around the world.
She is Salish. Her mother, Evelyn Peters, was of the St'at'imc people of Mount Currie, the Lil'wat Nation of British Columbia. Being chosen for that ground, she has said, was an honour.
